TJRA FAQ
01
Performance Choices
With the exception of the kickoff rodeo and finals, you get a choice of either competing Friday night or Saturday day. Friday will start at 7pm with stickhorse, followed by speed events and roping events. Saturday will start at 10am with all rough stock events. Stickhorse & speed events will not start before 12 noon, but could start later, depending on rough stock end time. Roping will follow speed events.
02
Membership
You do not have to be a member to participate, but non-members will pay an additional $25 non-member fee per rodeo and will not accumulate points, jackpot only. Members can join at anytime before the rodeo they want to start accumulating points. Memberships are $55 for individual and $75 for family. Family memberships are comprised of parents/step-parents/guardians and their children. Cousins, nieces or nephews need to be signed up under their parent's membership.
03
Age/Event Divisions
The age of the competitor is determined by their age on January 1, 2015, or the current schedule year. Events in each age group are open to boy or girl, unless otherwise stated (Breakaway roping is divided). You can age up - compete in an older age group - but once you do you cannot move back down. Your points will accumulate in the age group in which you compete.
04
Entry Deadlines
Entries are due NO LATER than the SUNDAY directly before the rodeo. You can pre-enter at a prior rodeo, mail in your entry postmarked 2 WEEKS PRIOR to rodeo, email your entry to info@tjra.org, or call-in your entry on the Sunday before between 1pm-6pm, 325-242-5390 or 325-242-5391. You can pay when you enter or at the rodeo, but all fees MUST be paid before competing. A late fee of $25 will apply to any entries RECEIVED or CHANGED after the Sunday prior to the rodeo.

Fundraising/Sponsors
Certain fundraisers and sponsor requirements will be announced throughout the year. Each member is responsible for fulfilling these requirements to remain in good standing within the association.
